Hello, we are Chris and Justina, the owners of Sips! We first opened on March 1st, 2023, serving coffee, juices, smoothies, and the occasional avocado toast to our community here on Longboat Key. Since then, our little shop has grown and evolved to include a full range of breakfast favorites, from fresh pastries to hearty breakfast burritos.

For us, Sips is so much more than a business. It’s the heart of our family dream come true. What started as a simple diary entry about one day opening a coffee shop began to take shape when my dad heard about a space opening in Whitney Plaza and encouraged me to come down to Florida to check it out.

After Chris and I toured the property, he looked at me and said, “Let’s just do it!”—and that’s when our adventure began. We packed up our life in busy Atlanta and moved down to the coast, pouring everything we had into bringing Sips to life. Creating a place where everyone can “sip something” and feel right at home.

Since opening our doors, we’ve built more than a business, we’ve built a life. We’re now raising our sweet little one (with another baby on the way!) and balancing family life with running the shop. Every day, we pour love, warmth, and care into everything we do from crafting the perfect latte to greeting each customer like an old friend.
